Delete from the app

The fastest way to delete your account is from within the app:

1. Open Mothlit and go to Settings.
2. Tap Account.
3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

This immediately and permanently deletes your account and all associated data, including your watch history, ratings, lists, comments, follows, and profile.

Request deletion by email

If you no longer have access to the app or your account, email us at support@mothlit.com with the subject line Data deletion request and include the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• Your email address, display name, username, avatar, and all profile information.
• Your entire watch history — shows tracked, episodes logged, rewatch counts, and watch statuses.
• Your ratings, reviews, favorites, watchlist, and custom lists.
• Your comments, replies, and reactions.
• Your social connections — follows and followers.
• Your group memberships and group posts.
• Your account preferences and notification settings.
• Your session tokens and login credentials.

What may be retained

• Aggregated, anonymized statistics that cannot be linked back to you (for example, a show's total tracker count).
• Moderation records where retention is required for safety or legal reasons.
• Short-term backups and logs, which are purged on their normal rotation schedule.
